What's Your Business in Canada Eh?

After an exciting day site seeing in Detroit and going to a Tigers game, my friend and I headed to Canada to take photos of the skyline. Here are a few photos from Belle Isle and Windsor Canada. I enjoyed taking these evening/night photos (my favorite photos to take are skylines and sunsets!) and seeing a different part of Canada! I also met a few people. Here are the last of my tour of Detroit photos! Enjoy!

Downtown Los Angeles

I am excited to start posting photos from my 12 day vacation in Los Angeles.
My friend and I decided to travel to Los Angeles for a little sun, visit friends, hang out on the beach, and to relax (if you ask my friend this really didn't happen and I am sorry for that. I am kind of a crazy person to travel with because I am always on the go and have to see everything! I get too excited sometimes when I am visiting places. )

I can't even describe how much fun we had! Our trip was full of friends, adventure, fun, famous people, beaches, and excitement!  It felt like I never left, and it felt like I had been gone for years. Things were different but still the same.

One evening, after driving around the city taking photos, we decided to go downtown to take photos of the sky line from one of my favorite places, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.  It has water surrounding the building with fountains. I always thought this was a neat place to take photos and it was usually a quiet area in the evenings to just sit and watch the sun set over the hills.

Here are a few photos from that evening. It was a Sunday night so the area was empty. Perfect for taking photos! These photos are from the Department of Water and Power, and the L.A. Music Center area.

My favorite view of the Los Angeles Skyline.

When my friend and I left the downtown area, I decided not not go on the 10 west towards Culver City, where we were stay. Instead I took Wilshire Blvd heading west. When we came to the Westlake area/MacArthur Park I noticed the an amazing photo opportunity. So of course I pulled over and we took a few photos! Each one of the night photos were taken with out a tripod or edited.
Thank you and hoped you enjoyed my photos! :)

Packard Automotive Plant, Detroit Michigan

I have always been fascinated with older buildings. Growing up in an old mining town, I have been around my share of falling down buildings. Where ever you looked, you would find old buildings that struggled to stand. Each one had their own story, their own part in history. This is what I found most interesting about them.

When my friend took me to the the Packard Motor plant, I was excited! I did not go too far into the plant, but ventured in far enough to take a few photos. It was very interesting to see what was left of this historical place. I only wish I could have seen it up running. Hope you enjoy them!!

Detroit - Michigan Central Station, and Heidelberg Project

Last weekend, I decided to take a drive to Lower Michigan to visit friends. I had a great weekend and took many photos with my new lens!

On that Saturday morning, I drove from Midland down to Detroit to visit a friend for the day. Before visiting, I had only seen the outside of Detroit’s airport two other times.

I was really excited to get locals point of view of the city, since I only heard about its negative reputation from growing up in the Upper Peninsula. After meeting up with my friend, I learned a lot more about the positive things in the city and saw many historical places. I had an amazing day touring the city, going to a Tigers game and learning more about the history of the city! I now think about Detroit in a more positive way!

I took many photos, and will be posting/blogging about them soon. This group of photos are from the Train Station and the Heidelberg Project.  Both places were exciting to see! Enjoy!
